FixGrid
Dual-Sided Pending-Order Grid
A configurable grid system with three volume tiers and basket-level trailing profit management.
Store Short Description
FixGrid is a dual-sided grid trading robot with three volume tiers and basket-level trailing profit management.
Product Overview
FixGrid is a mechanical grid trading robot designed for cTrader. It creates a symmetric ladder of Buy Stop orders above the current market price and Sell Stop orders below it. Users can configure the price distance, central buffer, number of levels and volume assigned to each distance tier.
All positions opened by FixGrid on the active symbol are evaluated as one combined basket. When basket net profit reaches the selected target, the trailing profit lock becomes active. The highest basket profit is then tracked. If net profit retraces by the configured amount, FixGrid closes its positions, removes its remaining pending orders and can build a fresh grid.
FixGrid does not forecast market direction. It automates order placement and basket management according to the selected parameters.

How It Works
1. Define the center
FixGrid reads the current Bid and Ask and calculates a central reference price.
2. Build both sides
Buy Stop orders are placed above price and Sell Stop orders below price.
3. Apply grid spacing
Each consecutive order follows the configured price-unit distance.
4. Assign volume tiers
Nearest, middle and farthest levels can use different trade volumes.
5. Monitor one basket
FixGrid combines the net result of its Buy and Sell positions.
6. Arm the profit lock
Reaching the selected target activates trailing basket management.
7. Track the peak
The highest basket net profit is updated while the lock is active.
8. Close and rebuild
A configured retracement triggers the close sequence and optional fresh grid.
Parameters
| Parameter | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Grid Spacing | 1.50 | Price-unit distance between adjacent pending levels. |
| Buffer Levels | 1 | Empty grid steps between current price and the first order. |
| Levels Per Side | 19 | Requested pending-order levels above and below the market. |
| Tier 1 Count / Volume | 5 / 0.01 | Nearest levels and their default volume. |
| Tier 2 Count / Volume | 7 / 0.05 | Middle levels and their default volume. |
| Tier 3 Volume | 0.20 | Default volume for all remaining levels. |
| Target Profit | 10.00 | Account-currency basket profit that activates the lock. |
| Trail Step | 2.00 | Allowed retracement from the best basket profit. |
| Rebuild After Close | Enabled | Creates a fresh grid after FixGrid becomes flat. |
| Instance Label | FixGrid | Identifier used to isolate FixGrid positions and orders. |
Basket Profit-Lock Example
With a target of 10.00 and a trail of 2.00, reaching 10.00 activates the lock. If basket net profit later reaches 14.50, the close threshold becomes 12.50. If net profit falls to or below that threshold, FixGrid attempts to close the basket. Values use the account deposit currency. The realized result can differ because of price movement, spread, commission, swap and slippage.
Default Exposure
The default setup requests 19 Buy Stop and 19 Sell Stop orders. Per side, 5 levels use 0.01, 7 levels use 0.05 and 7 levels use 0.20. This can create substantial exposure. The final cTrader version must normalise volume in units and respect the selected broker's minimum volume, volume step, order-distance and margin rules.
Risk Disclaimer
Trading involves risk. Past performance does not guarantee future results. FixGrid does not guarantee profit. Grid trading and tiered position sizing can produce substantial exposure and drawdown. Test FixGrid in backtesting and on a demo account before considering live use.
